GED Test and Class Information

 

Adult Education is also coordinated through the PVETI office. Lisa Summer is the literacy coordinator.

She can provide information about the GED test, GED classes, and CATS. Lisa can be contacted at the Clinton Library (832-3690).

Notification Of GED Test

 

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

The General Educational Development (GED) test will be given Tuesday and Wednesday of the third week of January, March, May, July, September, and November at South Vermillion High School Room B-17 at 4:30 of each testing day.

 

Those who are 17 years of age must have an official exit interview from the high school of last attendance, have GED pre-test results, and be an Indiana resident for at least 30 clays prior to testing. Eighteen year olds are required to submit an official statement from the high school of last attendance to verify person is not enrolled.

 

At the time of testing. all persons must present a picture ID such as a driver's license APPLICATIONS ARE HANDLED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS AND MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH THE FEE. The fee is $30.00 for the battery of five tests - NO PERSONAL CHECKS. CLINTON, IN 47842 (765) 832-2653. REGISTRATION FORM & FEE MUST BE RETURNED BEFORE NAME GOES ON TEST REGISTER REGISTRATION CLOSES FRIDAY BEFORE TEST DATE.

Notes:

1. Pens, pencils, and scrap paper will be provided at the test site
2. No study aids are permitted such as calculators, dictionaries, etc.
3. Picture ID must be presented before testing begins.
4. Tests are sent away for scoring. Scores are normally available in two weeks and will be mailed to the address on the application.
5. For those who successfully pass the test. an official GED certificate will be issued by the Indiana Department of Education.
6. NO SMOKING is allowed in the building. and NO DRINKS OR FOOD in the testing room.
