The state of Indiana has closed the Ernie Pyle Historic Site in Dana, Indiana. The state has threatened to auction the entire site off and move the artifacts to Indianapolis. A non-for profit 501(3)c group the Friends of Ernie Pyle are actively trying to save the site and reopen it. Your help is needed!!! They are accepting donations by two means - snail mail at this address.

I visited the Pyle home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 3, 2007. The home was left to the city of Albuquerque to be used as a library. It is an amazing tribute to his memory, as well as a wonderful library - Cinda Long
